Description

This five week course is ideal to help you get ready for your first GO TRI triathlon or short entry level triathlon such as the Stradbroke Triathlon of 18th and 19th May.

The course comprises five, one hour sessions at Everyone Active's Stradbroke Swim and Fitness Centre of a Tuesday evening between 18:45 and 19:45 starting 26th March.

The first session, of 26th March will be pool based to work on swim skills.  The following four Tuesday's of 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd April will be outside to practise bike, run and transition skills.  In case of bad weather on any of those outdoor sessions Tuesday 30th April will be used as an alternative.

The five week session is open to all aged 15 and over.

The course is being led by our experienced and enthusiatic Level 2 Triathlon Coaches Carolyn Hatton and Maria Smith.

Equipment needed:

  • Swim costume, swim goggles, swim hat, t-shirt, cycle helment, clean trainers and a small towel to stand on for the swim session of 26th March.
  • Bike, bike helmet, run shoes and appropriate clothing for running and cycling on the four outside sessions.

The course costs £25, is limited to 20 participants and is bookable online at the GO TRI website until 2pm on Monday 25th March. 

 

What you'll need

General kit list:

  • Trainers
  • Shorts/Leggings
  • T-Shirt or top
  • Water bottle
  • Towel

Swimming:

  • 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
  • Trunks or shorts for men
  • A wetsuit if your swim is open water
  • Don't forget your goggles!

Biking:

  • Bike* (any bike will do)
  • Helmet
  • * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

  • All you need is a pair of trainers
