GO TRI Beginners Triathlon Training with Kingfisher Triathletes

Description

Kingfisher Triathletes have teamed up with GO TRI to put on this 6 week programme of beginners triathlon training. The sessions are aimed at first timers looking for an introduction into triathlon ahead of their first race.

There are 3 sessions a week you can attend, you don’t have to do all of them, for just £30.00.

The coaches will walk you through the skills that you will require in multisport or triathlon. The sessions will build your confidence, skills and fitness as will as giving lots of useful tips and hints ready for your first triathlon, aquathlon or duathlon. 

The programme starts on Tuesday 9th July 2019 and continues with sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week for 6 weeks.  Don’t worry you don’t need to attend all the sessions just do as many as you can manage. The last session is on 15th August.

Tuesday sessions are RUNNING sessions at Kingsmeadow Running track between 8:00pm and 9:00pm. For details on the location check HERE

Wednesday sessions are SWIMMING and take place at Hampton Open air pool between 9:00pm and 10:00pm  For details on the location check HERE

Thursday sessions are CYCLING in Richmond Park meet at Pen Ponds Cafe at 19:30pm for 45minutes. For details on the location check HERE 

 

The FULL programme of dates is below (there are three sessions a week available):

Week 1: 9th July, 10th July, 11th July:
Week 2: 16th July, 17th July, 18th July
Week 3: 23rd July, 24th July, 25th July
Week 4: 30th July,  31st July, 1st August
Week 5: 6th August, 7th August, 8th August
Week 6: 13th August, 14th August, 15th August 
 

What will you need: 
Running on Tuesdays – Running shoes, Water bottle, warm clothes ( to warm up and cool down in). 

Swimming on Wednesdays -  swimming hat , swimming goggles , water bottle. 

Out-door Cycling – Bike (good working order), Running trainer’s or Cycling shoe’s, Cycling Helmet (Must have), Front and rear Light (Good working order), Water Bottle. 

What you'll need

General kit list:

  • Trainers
  • Shorts/Leggings
  • T-Shirt or top
  • Water bottle
  • Towel

Swimming:

  • 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
  • Trunks or shorts for men
  • A wetsuit if your swim is open water
  • Don't forget your goggles!

Biking:

  • Bike* (any bike will do)
  • Helmet
  • * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

  • All you need is a pair of trainers
