GO TRI Couch to Sprint Triathlon with Westcroft TC

Description

Westcroft TC club are putting on a Couch to Sprint Triathlon programme.
 
If you are new to the sport or are looking to take part in your first sprint triathlon this is for you!
 
The programme offers 3 sessions a week for 12 weeks. The sessions will build your confidence, skills and fitness to be ready for your first sprint triathlon. 
The target event is the Thames Turbo Sprint Triathlon on Friday 8th May 2020.
 
The programme starts on Saturday 15th February and costs £50, which includes all coaching and a year’s membership to Westcroft TC. The fee does not include the Thames Turbo race entry fee and leisure centre usage fees will also be payable for some sessions.
 
Each week there will be three sessions:
 
Saturday 8.30am to 10am
Run session at Nonsuch Parkrun.
As the evenings get lighter midweek coached run skills sessions will be added.
 
Wednesday 7.30pm to 8.30pm
Spin session at Westcroft Leisure Centre.
As the winter turns to spring, group rides on Sunday morning and cycle skills training on Sunday afternoon at David Weir Leisure Centre will be added.

Thursday 9pm to 10pm
Swim session at Cheam Leisure Centre.

What you'll need

General kit list:

  • Trainers
  • Shorts/Leggings
  • T-Shirt or top
  • Water bottle
  • Towel

Swimming:

  • 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
  • Trunks or shorts for men
  • A wetsuit if your swim is open water
  • Don't forget your goggles!

Biking:

  • Bike* (any bike will do)
  • Helmet
  • * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

  • All you need is a pair of trainers
