Description

Starting on 7th July Steve, (a BTF Level 2 coach,) will be guiding you though a 6-week Bike and Run training course, all on closed-road circuits, ideal for getting started in a relaxed environment. The session are on a Wednesday lunchtime and are ideal for those working from home.

The sessions will be aimed at first-timers looking for an introduction to triathlon / duathlon ahead of their first race or novice athletes who are looking for some simple and easy tips on how to improve. 

NOVICE/FIRST-TIMER
For novice athletes, the coach will walk you through the basic skills required in triathlon and duathlon, such as bike handling and transition, and give you the knowledge and confidence to enjoy your race.

Week 1 (7th  July): Introduction to Triathlon and Run session
Week 2 (14th July): Bike session
Week 3 (21st July): Race simulation (Duathlon run/bike/run)

Week 4 (28th July): Run session
Week 5 (4th August) : Bike session
Week 6 (11th  August): Race simulation (Duathlon: run/bike/run) 

WHERE & WHEN

Wednesdays 13:00 for an hour until 14:00.

What you'll need

General kit list:

  • Trainers
  • Shorts/Leggings
  • T-Shirt or top
  • Water bottle
  • Towel

Biking:

  • Bike* (any bike will do)
  • Helmet
  • * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

  • All you need is a pair of trainers
