Description

Bayside Tri Club are delighted to host the first sea swim triathlon in Stokes Bay. Aimed at those new to multi-discipline events and those making the transition from pool/lake based events to sea swim ones.

Starting and finishing at Stokes Bay Sailing Club the event will consist of a 400m sea swim in the Solent followed by a 12.6 km bike leg along the seafront to Stubington (and back) and a 3km run taking in parts of Stokes Bay promenade.  

Event Timings:

Registration: 06:45 - 07:15

Bike Racking : 06:45 - 07:15

Race Brief: 07:20

First Swimmers: 07:30

Wetsuits are compulsory for all competitors.

Spectators are welcome to view the start from the Sailing Club viewing deck (with views across the Solent).

All finishers will receive a medal and a bacon roll & hot drink (tea / coffee) on completion.

What you'll need

General kit list:

• Trainers
• Shorts/Leggings
• T-Shirt or top
• Water bottle
• Towel

Swimming:

• 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
• Trunks or shorts for men
• A wetsuit if your swim is open water
• Don't forget your goggles!

Biking:

• Bike* (any bike will do)
• Helmet
• * If this GO TRI activity uses spin bikes, you don't need to bring your own bike *

Running:

• All you need is a pair of trainers
