GO TRI training is delivered by triathlon-trained instructors, giving you the tools to improve in all the triathlon elements at a leisure centre near you. You don't need any equipment to get started and you can choose sessions that suit you. Indoor cycling, treadmill running, pool swimming and conditioning, are all available to get you triathlon ready.
Pool-based swim sessions with a trained instructor to help motivate and support you. These sessions will improve your swim technique and fitness to create the basic skills to help you enjoy your first GO TRI event.
It may be a surprise but you won't need a bike to do this! The cycle sessions are based around gym bikes, or indoor cycling classes. These will build your fitness and confidence to take on a run, even after you get off the bike!
A pair of trainers is all you need to get going here. Sessions will help you improve your running fitness. These will be on treadmills or simple short circuits, all at a level that is appropriate to you - no one gets left behind.
Triathlon uses almost every muscle in the body, so there are a range of sessions that will help you reach your goals.Â Core sessions will strengthen key muscles.Â Circuit and strength sessions will develop endurance and prepare you for transition.Â Flexibility sessions will stretch out your body and relax and focus the mind,
You may not be able to attend an instructed GO TRI session or you may simply prefer to train on your own. So, we are searching out THE best places to swim, cycle and run. These recommended training venues will all be great places to workout towards your triathlon goal. Venues will range from swimming pools, run tracks, parks and cycle routes. Some venues may be partly supervised, but in the main you are on your own - just check opening times and facilities in advance, turn up and get going!
